Privacy Policy

When you upload a portrait or a handwriting sample, it is sent to our analysis processing partner solely to generate your reading. We do not save your uploaded photos or handwriting images. They are used only to produce your reading and are not stored on our servers. We keep the resulting report (without the images), together with your name, phone number and email, for 90 days so we can support you if something goes wrong and resolve disputes. It is visible only to our authorised administrators (who also get a private notification with your name, contact and the type of reading, never your photo), is not shared with other users or with schools or colleges, and is never used to train any analysis model. You can ask us to delete it sooner by writing to hello@myrealside.com. A short-lived cache tied to your own browser may also be used so that re-opening the same reading doesn't require a fresh analysis call; this cache lives on your device and you can clear it at any time.

• Reading content: the text of your generated reports (archetype, scores, summaries) may be stored so you can revisit them, tied to your account or anonymous device ID.
• Account information: email address and name, if you choose to create an account or provide a name for your report. Before a scan we also ask for your name and a mobile number or email, which we store with the scan for support. If you open checkout and do not finish paying, we may send you one reminder email.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment gateway. We receive confirmation of payment and an order reference, never your full card details.
• Usage data: device/browser type, pages visited, and referral codes used, to keep the Service working and to prevent abuse of free readings and referral credits.

• To generate and deliver your reading or report.
• To process payments and send order confirmations.
• To apply free-reading limits and referral credits fairly.
• To maintain security, prevent fraud, and debug technical issues.
• To improve the quality of our prompts and reports in aggregate — and not by browsing individual photos for that purpose.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train any analysis model.

We share information only with service providers who help us run My Real Side, under confidentiality obligations:

• Our analysis processing partner, to generate readings from text and images you submit.
• Our database/authentication provider, to store report text and account data securely.
• Our payment gateway, to process one-time purchases.

We do not share your data with advertisers, and we do not sell it to data brokers.

Uploaded photos and handwriting images: not stored. The report for each scan (with your name and contact): deleted automatically after 90 days (see Section 1). Generated report text and account data: retained for as long as your account is active, or for as long as needed to provide the "revisit your report" feature, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to export your report, by writing to hello@myrealside.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

My Real Side is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access-controlled databases) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
